PROFILE:
I attended Norwich University from 1961 – 1965, graduating with a BS in Business Administration. During college I became a member of the National Ski Patrol, as well as participating on the Varsity track and field team.
In 1966, I married and subsequently had two children. After serving in the US Army from 1966- 1970, I moved to Oakland, NJ, and worked for American Airlines and then for American Cyanamid Corporation in Wayne, NJ. During that time I was the Ski Patrol Leader at Campgaw Mountain.
I moved to Sussex, NJ, in 1973 and opened my own retail sporting goods store, Vernon Sport Shop, in 1981. After divorcing in 1982, I married Barbara Berge in 1984 and we formed a “Brady Bunch union.” Together we have five children now ranging in age from 40 – 47.
Currently we live in Lafayette, NJ and have been married for 28 years. We greatly enjoy being involved in the activities of our eight (8) grandchildren, who range in age from 7 – 22.
My hobbies include fishing, hunting, skiing, and golf.

PROFILE
"After finishing high school, I went to work for the Ford Motor Company in Mahwah, and spent 8 years there. During that time I also spent 6 years in the United States Marine Corp Reserves.
For the next 10 years, I worked for Ohio Medical Products as a truck driver, delivering medical gasses to hospitals in the tri-state area. The company was sold in 1980, however, and I had to move on.
1980 to 1985 I worked for T&R Oil Company delivering gasoline products to gas stations in New Jersey. T&R was a carrier for Exxon, and in 1986 I went to work for them as a truck driver and retired from there in 2005.
Between my wife, Bonnie, and I we have 6 children and 4 grandchildren. Our home in Montvale is never empty for one of them is always stopping by.
For the last 45 years I have been with the Elks, and have held many positions on the local and state levels. Am also an avid old car buff, with a 1964 Ford 500XL that I love to drive and tinker with.
